What User likes about The Spaniard:
It was my first time eating here, I got a delicious fish pie. Cosy and welcoming inside and lovely staff. Didn't have time for the pub today but it looks lovely. View all feedback. What Michael D doesn't like about The Spaniard:
A mixed experience evening meal here. Food was a mixed bag but overall fairly good. However my wife's salad was very poor and way past its best. Her glass of Pinot was undrinkable and was from a fresh bottle. Bit of a shame as I had high hopes based on reviews. It was the end of a busy Bank Holiday so maybe that explains the some of the issues. Staff were friendly and service good despite the busy day they had. View all feedback.

Came for a few drinks! Such cosy, cute atmosphere! Good pints, and a lovely fireplace as well! Can’t speak for food as didn’t try unfortunately …

We'd come recommended and we really loved it. The super attentive girls, the very rich food and the chimney is appreciated. Totally recommended.

Retains its great traditional atmosphere and good, friendly service at the bar. Can't give it 5 stars as we didn't try the food. Recommended!

The Spaniard offers a mixed dining experience. While some dishes like the fish pie are deemed delicious, others are described as tasteless or average at best. Despite some disappointing aspects, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere receive praise. The historic pub is recommended for its charm and welcoming ambiance, with generous portion sizes and great value for money. Some patrons highlight exceptional service and accommodating staff. The restaurant's popularity among locals reflects its appeal as a family-friendly and diverse establishment. Overall, The Spaniard in Kinsale is a quaint, historic pub worth a visit for its unique atmosphere and hearty meals.
