Had “lunch” in the bar, took a half hour before our order was taken (one of our party went looking for staff twice to get the order taken) BLT had more fat on it than bacon, chicken wings were fatty and had no flavour, none of our party of 4 could eat them. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins. Staff were very young and learning, didn’t appear older staff were on duty to guide them. Don’t waste your money here. View all feedback.
The restaurant at Kinsale Hotel Spa offers stunning views of River Stick thanks to its location. The modern interior, with lots of glass including the roof, creates a special atmosphere. The friendly staff will welcome you warmly and are happy to chat with you if you're in the mood. There is a set menu, as well as a la carte options and a good selection of wines. We dined here three times during our stay, each time choosing different starters, main courses, and desserts. Each meal was presented in a French style and could easily be compared to Michelin star quality. If you need recommendations, just ask – you won't be disappointed. After your meal, head outside to the terrace with comfortable garden furniture and enjoy the view while sipping on coffee or wine. It's a perfect way to end a memorable evening. You won't be disappointed.
Had the full cooked breakfast and it was really good. They cook to order which is always nicer than buffet. The service was very good but it was 7:30am and there weren't many other diners so maybe that varies. The croissants were really nice. I just had one but it was crisp and fresh and i'd imagine baked in hotel.
Overpriced and small portions with the full menu not available at the time. We definitely won't be returning.
The restaurant is in Macdonald hotel with absolutely brilliant view from the window. Chef knows his job. The food is delicious but service is not the best.
We had a wonderful experience: the beef was delicious, the wine was great, and the view was beautiful. The desserts were particularly special. We highly recommend this place.
