A visit to this restaurant offers a mixed experience; while the food is hit or miss, with some dishes falling short of expectations, the service is lacking in attention and efficiency. Prices can also be inconsistent. Despite these setbacks, the lively atmosphere and reasonable prices do attract a loyal clientele. For those hosting special events, the staff goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience, showcasing attention to detail and exceptional service. Overall, while there is room for improvement, this establishment has its strengths and is worth a visit for a taste of Irish pub fare.

Was Anonym at Scanlons Pub a mag?
Stopped in to scanlons pub in Kinnegad yesterday on the way home from Dublin got a beautiful meal the meal was lovely and hot the young girl that was serving was very jolly and good worker will definitely be back View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Scanlons Pub:
Soup was quiet nice. The turkey main course had been reheated in microwave, turkey was incredibly dry and stringy. We had extra gravy but it didn't really help. But, what annoyed me was when my partner just finished his main course, his plate was whipped away and I was left with my dinner as I am a slow eater. Felt a bit self conscious. Pity they weren't as quick to bring food to table. We had an extraordinary wait f... View all feedback.

15 of us landed in on Sunday and there was a big crowd but they found space for us. the staff were amazing and the food was unbelievable. I got the mixed grill and it was beautiful fee lads got the roast beef and it looked unreal. I will definitely be back if only for the chips. thanks for squeezing us in could have done enough for us.

Traditional pub discovered by chance on our holiday route. Kids friendly. Hearty, even very hearty dishes. Affordable price, around €15 per person.

Had the pleasure of dining here twice in the last week at this very friendly restaurant and needless to say it didn't disappoint. Food was delicious as usual. Great service and the staff could not be better . Hopefully I'll be back again. This place is well worth a visit.

My saughter and I stopped by Scanlons in Kinnegad to try their famous breakfast. We were not disappointed!!! I ordered a breakfast roll and my daughter the full irish breakfast. Our tea arrived within minutes by a friendly waitress who had a chat with us. There was a few in the pub and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast roll with bacon, sausage, egg and black pudding and the irish breakfast was as expected a plate loaded with bacon , sausage, egg, black and white pudding, hash brown , beans with toast. We had a feast!!! The food waz hot, delicious, and the tea was gorgeous, just what we wanted on a cold rainy morning. Less than 20 euro for the breakfast for two was fantastic. Service was quick and super friendly. Scanlons are now our go to place for breakfast but we cant wait to try their lunch menu andvtheir early bird A la carte dinner menu. 100% recommended.
