Nucky's Cocktail - Kingsville

I ordered a Bloody Mary, and honestly, I drink them all the time, but I could barely taste anything other than vodka. I added some lime and stirred it, but it still just tasted like vodka. After two sips, I decided to leave. I also had to wait for two people at the bar to leave because I wasn’t getting any service where I was standing. At least the bartender was nice.

The food is fantastic, no question about it. However, they really need to improve their system for to-go orders. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge, and you end up watching your food pass through several people’s hands before it's simply left on the counter, even when you’ve given your name and are waiting right there. Additionally, my order was marked as ready, but I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for it to actually be prepared. On top of that, the music is often way too loud. I've dined inside a few times, and it's nearly impossible to have a conversation without raising your voice.

I stopped by for the night during the Rattlesnake Roundup in Freer and decided to check out Nucky’s. It’s a really cool spot with live music and great food. The wait staff was fantastic, consistently checking in on our table. Just a heads up: when it’s busy, food orders come out one at a time from the trailer out back, so be prepared to wait a bit. However, the Smash Burger is absolutely fantastic and definitely worth the wait!

Food and drinks were delicious! Wings are excellent. I gave 3 stars because of the HORRIBLE service. We were a table of 8. All our food came out separately. First food came out and 1 hour later one person still didn't get their food. Seems like no one is really running the place. I will say, that a large table came in after us and there were only 2 servers. You shouldn't seat people if you don't have the help you need to service them properly. I may return to give them another shot because the food and drinks were that GOOD!!

The food was good. The service was bad. In a party of 8 people 1 guy didn't get his food until everyone else was done eating.
