We thought we should try the bistro again despite a disappointing meal some months back. I'm glad we did, because tonight we had the best time from go to whoa. The staff were welcoming, the meals were cooked beautifully with generous servings , and the atmosphere relaxed. Can't wait to come back for another porterhouse steak - cooked just how I like it. Nice meal selection , but a few issues . The steaks were quite cool - nicely cooked but by the time they got to us they were too cool. For a pub the meals were a little on the small side but generally quite good although really not cheap - more like restaurant pricing .I thought our waiter Gab was outstanding - really friendly , fast and right on to everything. I guess there can always be issues but coolish steak was... View all feedback.
This is the worst steak I have ever had in my life (and I am old). The grilled scotch steak was burnt, served with cold chips, a mushroom soup sauce, and oily salad. I cannot believe the poor quality of the food. It is worse than overpriced fast food. I will never go back and I highly recommend trying somewhere else, maybe even a local street vendor.
I dined at this restaurant. The service was good and the food was fresh. I ordered the clams and my companion had the Caesar salad. My dish was excellent and a good size for lunch. My companion's Caesar salad was okay, but not her favorite. It was also a good portion for lunch.
We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday in one of the functional spaces at this restaurant. Where do I even begin? The service was impeccable, the food delicious, and they served the best espresso martinis in wine glasses that I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was sensational, and all of my requests were met with a smile and promptness. The gluten-free wood-fired pizza was incredibly delicious. We stayed at the hotel next door, which was spacious and clean with comfortable bedding. The bistro served more delicious meals, including another gluten-free pizza for lunch and a variety of dinner options. We even brought our children for dinner and they loved it too. I highly recommend this place!
They would think that in a pub or hotel a parma would be done with perfection, too easy we are in Australia. wrong, I'm sad to say that ours was soggy and microshaft, table beside us had the same. Not hard to fool them.
Lunched today in the Bistro and staff went above and beyond to accommodate “guest of honours”request for prawns when they didn’t appear on the menu. Our staff member “Bee” did everything possible to make this a special and memorable day, negotiating with the kitchen and...other waitstaff and the prawns were absolutely amazing.
