Great price, generous servings, best eaten tapas style and shared. Food is very traditional and the ceviche is the best I have every tasted. Worth a visit for novices and lovers of Peruvian food. View all feedback.
What Bonnie Hauck doesn't like about Mi Peru D'Carmen:
The other day, while walking down Como Parade on my way to an Indian restaurant, I came across this place that a friend who lives nearby had also mentioned had recently opened. View all feedback.
Large print menu with photo illustrations and a good variety was the feature. BYO helped too. Presentation gave the food the nystique it deserved. So clean with polite service with passion for the food and its special touches. Flavours are mild but right.

This is truly Peruvian food, I've tried a lot of "Peruvian" restaurants in Melbourne and as a Peruvian I know what is good and here I can feel I'm eating like at home. The owners are really nice, a couple that love what they do. I've been treated very nicely and I got finally a taste of my country after been months looking for a place. You really need to come here if you want to know how it's to eat like a Peruvian. Always big and fulfilling.
Having never eaten at a Peruvian restaurant thought we would give it a try. Very friendly and informative waitress who gave us some suggestions. Tried a light entree with a hint of yellow curry but it was very basic with cold sliced potato, olives and egg on top. Not quite what we were expecting from the menu. I had the cerviche and although the flavours with fresh lime and chilli complemented the fish, that was all you got and it was too much for one person. Great amount to share. The traditional drink we had was delicious and made of purple corn, apple, cinnamon, cloves etc. Cassava chips were yum
Who would expect this little gem to pop up in parkdale. Got the last table on a busy night so would recommend you book. Byo but if unprepared theres a bottle shop down the road. The mixed seafood dish was tasty as was the steak with pesto fettucini followed by peruvian doughnuts. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
