Sorry Beef &Barley, this review is not favourable.....we seriously would have been happier with a drive through Hubby and I fancied a burger, wish we had not bothered. Here goes: A very mediocre welcome, find your own seat, order your own burger online, ask for...salt pepper, ask for ketchup and order your own drinks. Waitress was not rushed off her feet, the place was not busy and still she gazed into space. Food came sooooo many chips, advertised and anticipated coleslaw was basically shredded red/white cabbage no dressing to taste. Burger was deep fried but on a plus, it was piping for burgers and soft drinks. Hmmmm. Surroundings were disappointing: dirty floor, cobwebs everywhere, no decor other than IKEA plastic plants, dirty tables and torn plastic windows. Our whole experience was actually less than Come on B&B rise to the standard of other Kingston Foreshore eateries..... we had expectations.
First night in Canberra, this place was literally outside our front door. Easy decision. Decent range of burgers, sides and drinks. All of the food we had was good. A little slow coming out of the kitchen given there were only about a dozen or...so other customers, but was still very good. I am however confused about this place not sure if it's trying to be a restaurant (some groups were greeted at the door, orders taken at their tables as per a proper restaurant) or a more casual eatery (other groups told to find their own table and order at the register). They need to work out their process then make it clear to customers so they know what to expect.
