we were concerned when the branding for the restaurant was Japanese and korean cuisine .. as thoughts of **** dishes and hybrid mixash come in the senses. but no, this must be one of the most authentic Korean foods in the city that I come from a place with a full of good and cheap Korean food (melbourne), so was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. how do I know his reality? well beside us are two Korean bus... What maryfairy doesn't like about Yami:
The greeting was unfriendly, and unfortunately, things didn't improve much from there. I had read about a rude and dismissive manager, and we encountered him right away. The food was average at best, but the service was truly terrible, with the exception of one kind young waitress. View all feedback.
Went on Mothers Day they were really busy but found us a table quick. The staff were really friendly and helpful with what to order. We had kimchi stew and fired chicken and it taste great. I will be going back to try the barbeque meat next time. Good food. The price for 4 people was really good.
We’ve been coming here for a while now and each time the food taste the same. We love their spicy seafood with tofu soup, crispy seafood pancakes, delicious succulent fried chicken with sweet and spicy Korean sauce. The spicy beef soup with glass noodles also a favourite. Be prepared to wait as we didn’t reserve and we were there for lunch.
Authentic Korean food, extensive menu with several regular customers. I tried their crispy fried chicken and soy garlic fried chicken, soondubu, BBQ. Everything was as good as expected. It’s very packed during lunchtime so you need to wait a bit. Overall price is reasonable. Will definitely visit again to try other dishes!
The food here is great that 's why we kept on coming back despite the service, however when we were here last week, we were served with an uncooked chicken. The waitress came and took the chicken away (bless her) but came back as she was told by the kitchen staff it was cooked as it was deep fried twice despite that you can clearly tell it 's uncooked as it 's still pink inside and still have blood. Told her we 're not having it and a guy from the counter came and told us we can 't send it back and that he knows us from our previous visits and the chicken has always been like that (which is clearly untrue as we never encounter this before and also we ordered 2 different kind of chickens and the other one was totally fine). He then threatened us saying we can no longer order chicken on our next visits. (as if we 're ever coming back after being treated like this!
Terrible experience Introduced our friend for a Korean food and ordered a couple of dishes including fried chicken and we noticed it was uncooked and had blood. Server explained that was normal and we said we don’t want it anymore but they threatened that next time we eat at the restaurant we can’t order chicken anymore.
