There are often posts on SM asking for the best l... read more I don't order deliveries very often but I was having a really lazy day today and couldn't be bothered to cook. There are often posts on SM asking for the best local Sunday lunches and Three Peas in a Pod is often recommended so I decided to give them a go. I ordered roast lamb and fresh fruit trifle. Within minutes of the order going through the owner called me to say that the trifle was out of stock well, fair enough, it was a late order and they were clearly popular! She was very apologetic and talked me through the alternatives and I opted for jam roly poly and custard proper old school! The food was delivered in good time, piping hot and with a pot of gravy. It was a huge portion! I didn't think I was going to finish it but it was too delicious not to. Plenty of tender lamb, crispy roast potatoes and lots of veggies. The jam roly poly was also really good (when I ate it later, too full after the roast! . Nothing was pre cooked and pinged through a microwave, just honest home cooked food. Thoroughly recommend Three Peas in a Pod, you won't be disappointed.

Warm, welcoming, and utterly unpretentious, it offers that rare combination of genuinely friendly service and food that feels like it's been cooked with care—because it has. The steak sandwich was a standout—properly done, with depth and soul, not just thrown together. The jacket potatoes come loaded with hearty, homemade fillings that taste like something your favourite aunt might serve up, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality and portions.
