dipped with a colleague. we wanted to eat something spicy and the waiter was friendly enough to take that into account. we ordered the prawn pakora, the aloo on puri, peshawari naan, chappatthi, channa wiper and mushroom and capsicum. the aloo on puri was excellent with the season just right and the part only plentiful for a starter. one is to say that the side shell parts are rather small and we must take into accou... we took a take from sarda and while eating was done, we put the order for drinks red wine, white wine and balleys. drinks were so bad, it seemed as if they had added wine in water! but take away was good. View all feedback.
Have been to this restaurant many times over many years and was so sorry to hear of their recent closure due to a 'pest ' issue.
Closed by Environmental Health due to food contamination caused by cockroaches in the kitchen. Cockroach found in poppadoms served to customer. Best avoid!
There was a lovely friendly atmosphere on a Saturday as local people came early, good food, well cooked naan and very spicy tandoori, happy to let me take a doggy bag when i could not eat it all then I love the spinache sag baji,
We often get takeout from Sarada if you order as a walk in you can sit and have a draught kingfisher beer whilst the food is prepared (about 20 minutes). This is a very trad curry house, and reassuring because of it. The food is good, and good value for money there 's 10% discount for paying cash on a takeout. The jalfrezi has just the right degree of spice; the korma is rich and silky. We much prefer Sarada to the curry house across the road, which because of it 's 'contemporary ' style seems more attractive to some. Sarada is old school and all the better for it.
Booked up Sarada for a family birthday celebration. My parents used to visit this restaurant 30+ years ago and loved it. We live a little further out now but thought we would give it a go.
