After browsing tiles at a nearby superstore, we were in need of some refreshment and decided to visit a cafe just a few minutes away. Despite its unassuming exterior, the cafe was charming inside, housed in the old booking office of a long closed railway line with a cozy log burner and vintage photos decorating the walls. What juliamY9418YZ doesn't like about The Wilmington:
What can I say, first visit here superb went back today really looking forward to it and what a dissapointment, firstly they have gone from using good quality sauces to cheap vinegary sauces the brown sauce was disgusting, the sausages were soft and rubbery probably being left too long in the Bain Marie, the toast was warm bread no colour on it at all it was disgusting ,also noticed not as many people in as were last... We had amazing homemade steak pie with Fresh Veg and Creamy Mash .....all freshly made, portions were big and filling, the steak melts in your mouth cooked perfectly how I like it. Staff were so friendly and attentive and made us feel so welcome ... Our first time here and we will be regulars now
I always pop in for breakfast when I’m in the area, I always get a warm friendly welcome from Kirsty and her team. The Jumbo Breakfast is fantastic value, but everything on the menu not only looks good, but tastes fantastic and is excellent value for money. Kirsty is also an excellent caterer and has provided me with some great buffets and afternoon teas to take out.
I've been coming here for three months now and have lost two stone by eating healthy, all the food is homemade and very nice, the owner is a , I have now been converted!!very modern thinking woman who offers alternative food which other cafes don't, I used to just ask for a medium breakfast and a cup of tea, after seeing the salads and trying one I now prefer these it's more education than a tea break

Although the cafe was frequented by many workmen due to its location in an industrial area, we were not deterred and would definitely come back again.
I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with my friends at a cozy cafe with a log fire. They offer free refills of coffee, making it a hidden gem.
