Seriously I was a fan of Bob Carvers but its not what it used to be, but The Friary is brilliant. It's not the biggest but the food is top notch. The staff are friendly and very helpful, serious my youngest grandson says no to a McDonalds and prefers The Friary. View all feedback.

We ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. They didn't have onion vinegar bottled but he poured us some from the pickled onion jar. It was the Best ever fish. It was so fresh. I was there for a graduation and have returned to London. need to go back to Hull just for their fish and chips.
Fab chippie great food reasonable prices always fresh always busy, small seating area outside, well worth a visit.
Overall the quality of the food is great. Chip shop scran without the overly excessive grease left overs... and their patty’s are pretty awesome as well. However in today’s day and age who does not accept cards?!?!?
The title says it all... Beautiful chips, decent sized fish, reasonable prices all round! Happy days!
