What a wonderful little jewel. Stop for a coffee and the service here was great, super brownies! It was clean and not a ridiculous price. The view of the Trinity Church is also beautifully away from the hustle and bustle of other streets. I would highly recommend it is just what her name says, simple, but I would definitely say with a touch of class of people who care. Will be revisited every time I'm covered! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Simples Cafe:
We had an inexpensive breakfast here on Sunday morning. The service was efficient and friendly. The cafe benefits from a good location facing the Minster, and outdoor seating. Proper butter and a sausage upgrade would be a great improvement. View all feedback.
Good food, great coffee, extremely good value for money, great service

Had visited this lunchtime first and what a treat! Visiting with mom and sis and we all had the same hot chocolate with toasted tea cake mmmm yum yum yum yum! The hot chocolate tasted of chocolate (some places it is only hot water! and the toasted tea cakes were perfect, lots of butter dribble down the chin as you in it a little mm perfection :D Beautiful cozy cafe, the prices were also really good! But I complained when I left a café too nice and I didn't want to leave hahahaha. Also big boys will definitely return :D
The restaurant lives up to its name by offering simple dishes. I decided to stop by for a light breakfast before starting my journey and found that even the smallest meal on the menu was satisfying (and helped with my hangover). The dining area is not very large, with only about 5 tables inside and more outside. Despite the pleasant morning weather, I chose to sit indoors to avoid the smokers outside.
We both enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee during our visit to this cafe. It was my first time here and it was a delightful experience. The cafe's location across from the church gave it a continental feel, and with a few more cafes and bars nearby, you could almost imagine yourself in St. Mark's Square in Venice. Definitely a must-visit spot.
