A fascinating country house, in need of TLC but that doesn't spoil the peaceful feeling you get through out the house and grounds, the staff were really lovely and helpful View all feedback.

After we finished our meal and returned to our car, we discovered that someone had smashed the rear window of our Range Rover, leaving glass all over the place! We reported the incident to the hotel, which connected us with the police, and they did provide some help with a quick cleanup of our car. Overall, it was a dreadful and frightening experience. While it’s true that parking is always at the owner's risk, it’s unacceptable for a parking lot to lack any lighting or CCTV cameras to deter thieves. I'm surprised no other customers have had accidents in that dark lot, as it’s difficult to see any obstacles while walking. I would never return and will certainly advise my friends to steer clear of this place.
Interestingly, the breakfast buffet was set up in the hall outside the dining room, and there was an extra charge of £8.95 for a cooked breakfast. However, when I checked the voucher website, it clearly stated that a cooked breakfast was included. Even after showing the staff the website on my phone, they were initially unaware of this. When we visited friends nearby on our way home, they were not surprised by our feedback, as they had similar experiences and did not rate the place highly. It's truly unfortunate because the venue has a lot of potential to be great.
I had a disappointing experience at Rowley Manor that I won't soon forget. Where do I even begin? The staff seem to be unpaid, refunds are never issued, and the food was served cold and undercooked. We waited an hour in between courses, and everything felt overpriced. The building itself is falling apart. Be cautious of the potholes on the way in, or better yet, avoid Rowley Manor altogether. It's disheartening to see the new owners allow such a beautiful piece of British history and culture to deteriorate while they focus solely on maximizing profits. It seems they’re only interested in quick gains.
We spent a lovely 3 dsys at Rowley, the place has an old world charm better than other resorts we have bern to. Loved waking up to views of stallions strolling outside my window. The food was awesome especially the breakfast eggs ham bacon and all the other goodies and the afternoon tea scones cream cakes sandwiches . The service was very personalised. We loved the drive to Whitby and Scarborough provided by the hotel. Will return this summer.
Have had lunch, evening meal and Christmas lunch at Row.ey Manor, All always excellent! Staff, ambiance and food always excellent. Especially Christmas when the whole house is traditionally decorated, beautiful trees throughout the hotel, really beautiful.
