Herby's - Kingston upon Hull, City of

Apparently renowned for their scotch eggs, I decided to give Herby’s mozzarella variety a go. I couldn’t really taste the cheese all that much, to be honest.

I was served by a disinterested woman at this restaurant who carelessly dropped my cakes onto the counter in a crumpled paper bag. There were no pleasantries such as "please," "thank you," or "goodbye" from her or another staff member who mentioned they were almost done for the day. Perhaps I came at a bad time or didn't spend enough money for better service. I'm not eager to come back since it doesn't take much to bid farewell to a paying customer. The cakes were decent, but I've had better Bakewell slices elsewhere.

Incredible sandwiches, paninis and sides, lovely staff, very competitively priced. Definitely worth a pop in. Benches along Carr Lane that you can sit and eat at if you wish to.

Fab new premises just down the road from original location. Just down from Primark ! Large selection of samwich fikki gs- sonething foor everyone. Hot and cold fillings. Lots of different deli items too. Efficient and friendly service. Take away only.

Fabulous array of sarnies, sausage rolls and panini- always good value and fab baking- enjoyed the tuna panini
