We had trouble finding a vegan-friendly restaurant in Kingston, but we finally found one. They serve a nice cup of tea with vegan milk alternatives, as well as sweet treats and occasionally savory options. There is a sand pit for kids to play in and a large chalkboard for drawing. This charming café is located in a stunning old building. I was pleasantly surprised to find clearly labeled vegan cake options in the refrigerator, such as the delectable carrot cake. While the selection of vegan food is not extensive, it is refreshing to see some alternatives offered in a small town setting.

Located in the heart of Kingston, this restaurant is a convenient stop for those traveling along the highway, with roadside parking available. The layout can be a bit confusing, with two entrances but only one for ordering food. The vegan cake selection is limited, currently sourced from Sweet Nectar, so choices may be limited depending on when deliveries are made. In addition to cakes, the restaurant also offers a variety of gifts, candles, and hand cream (though not many soaps), with some vegan options available. The staff, especially the senior members, are friendly and knowledgeable about veganism and accommodating to those with disabilities. Despite handling the cakes with their fingers, they are happy to help customers. Overall, it's a great place to grab a safe snack while on a long drive.
This charming café is located in a historic building and has a delightful selection of vegan cake options, which was a pleasant surprise. The carrot cake was particularly delicious! While the vegan food choices are limited, it is great to see some options available in this quaint little town.
This restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and indulge in delicious coffee and amazing food. The staff is very welcoming and provides outstanding service. I highly recommend trying the chocolate brownie, it's the best! If you ever find yourself passing through Kingston, you definitely need to make a stop here.
