Fabulous! Just had a baby shower here and everything was superb! Great venue, great staff, and the food was outstanding!! I always go for the pizzas, especially the Fig special, but now I'll never make eggplant again! Eggplant rollatini is the best, let alone great pasta dishes! Thanks for the great food and service! I truly can't understand how they keep improving over time, but they do. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is family-friendly, and everything is absolutely delicious. I often ask them when they're going to raise their prices because it feels like everyone else around us is charging way too much.
Right from the start, I was disappointed to find out they didn’t offer calamari. An Italian restaurant without calamari? That’s simply unacceptable. I placed my order, and to start, a cup of pasta fagioli was served. Unfortunately, it seemed to take the name quite literally, as it consisted solely of pasta and beans in a bland broth—very underwhelming. Next came the baked clams. For $11, I received just two clams, but they were well-stuffed and had a decent flavor. The waitstaff consisted of some older diner servers who were quite chatty and boisterous. Despite their loudness, they were friendly and attentive. For dinner, I ordered chicken cutlet Parmesan over rigatoni. The pasta was merely warm, overcooked, and lacked seasoning. A little salt in the cooking water would have made a big difference. On the bright side, the cutlet was a good size, and considering the current market, it was reasonably priced. Overall, I’m glad I tried it, but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
After a bit of shopping, we searched for a place to have lunch and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. Since we both opted for Italian cuisine, it felt like the perfect choice, and I have to say, it was the best! It’s a wonderful spot, and I will definitely return.
We stopped during our summer holidays and wanted authentic Italian. We loved the food, the atmosphere and the waitress’s were so friendly. When in Kingston worth the visit.
To start, I usually genuinely enjoy this establishments food when I order takeout. It was ordinary Italian-American fare. The people at the takeout counter seemed friendly and genuine. Unfortunately, the dine-in experience was below average and the vibe was generally uncomfortable. The inside was decorated like a nursing homes Rec room. The floor was dirty and the atmosphere was uninviting. I went with a couple family members to have a pizza and relax one evening. We were rushed throughout the entire experience… It took all of 30 mins for us to order and eat then be rushed out the door. The older lady waitressing for our table was quite rude. Every time we said thank you she would not respond and every request we had felt like we were a complete bother to her. She seemed to have an attitude the entire time. The other waitressing staff was the same way. Near the end of our meal the bill was dropped at our table without a word and we got up to pay and leave. I waited nearly 5 minutes after being ignored by the staff. I then proceeded to try to pay at the other counter near the door and they all suddenly noticed and acted like I was trying to dine and dash. The staff was rolling their eyes and whispering to each other while I waited to finally pay, making me feel extremely awkward. I will not be giving any more of my hard earned money to this establishment, takeout or not.
