I had a serious craving for fried chicken while leaving the hospital, and my mom and I decided to order takeout from Ruby Mae's. Let me tell you, this food is incredibly good—there's no other way to put it. The chicken has the ideal balance of crunchiness and moisture, the mac and cheese was almost a spiritual experience, and the corn? Absolutely a gem! View all feedback.

Everything was fantastic, but for someone who believes his mac and cheese is the best, I must admit I think Ruby Mae's might be better!
Best soul food around! Really delicious. Made with love. Got the chicken dinner with Mac n cheese and collards. Everything was delicious.
So delicious. Fresh. All the flavors and authenticity. Opened and run by a mother-daughter team. And the name, named after the daughter's two grandmothers, just lovely. Go here. Enjoy.
Drop everything and head to Ruby Mae. Best meal that I’ve had in months. Service was exceptional. We tried to limit ourselves, but ended up getting five sides to supplement our chicken plate. However many pounds we gained was worth it.
Great shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles. Really enjoyed this spot.
