Jones River Tavern was a very lively and fun night. Staff made our time even better. The BBQ was delicious and the pulled pigs were mouthwater. I definitely recommend for a night with family or friends. View all feedback.
This BBQ restaurant is absolutely amazing! Theres always a great vibe when I go in, and the staff and owner are very friendly. And the food hear is delicious aith big portions, if your in the area definitely stop in and grab something! I recomend the burnt end bowl!
Chili was delicious! Cornbread was sweet, and spicy fries were spicy. Very friendly waitress. Good drinks. The only downer was that my Moscow mule was served in a glass and not the typical copper cup. I would definitely go back
LOVE this bar. Quickly becoming a favorite for my friends and I. The owner is there just about every night, and there's always something going on. I got to see Whiskey Princess and she was amazing. Love the live music they showcase.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The staff were excellent hosts, and the food was absolutely delicious. I opted for the chili, cornbread, coleslaw, and onion rings, drawn in by all the rave reviews. Everything was great, but I do wish the cornbread had been served warm, ideally with some butter or other spread, as mine was cold when it arrived. The onion rings, however, were the best I've ever had; I found myself needing to exercise restraint to set the plate aside and focus on the healthier options. The coleslaw was also quite good, just as a gentleman reviewer had mentioned; I was impressed that it didn’t contain any raisins or added sweeteners, which can be hard to find. The chili was tasty as well; I chose to have it without pineapples this time to really savor its flavor, but I plan to try it with them on my next visit. I was surprised by how much food I couldn't finish, even though I was full. The restaurant's design is fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere suitable for diners alone or parties of up to ten. I arrived after 8 PM, so it was dark, but the balcony area looked inviting for enjoying a meal outdoors. I'm definitely looking forward to returning. My only suggestion would be to expand their tea selection.
Typically, fried items can be soggy, but these had a perfect crispy coating. We also ordered a pizza for the kids, which turned out to be really good. The cheese was perfectly cooked to a golden brown, without being burned. The bone-in wings were also a hit. The food and service this time around (shout-out to our friendly and knowledgeable bartender) were a complete turnaround from our previous experience. As someone who has opened restaurants, I understand it takes time to get everything right. But the last time we visited, we had dry, overcrowded ribs, and the manager/owner insisted we explain what we didn’t like, which left a bad impression. It made for a terrible experience, and we vowed never to return. I’m so glad we changed our minds, and we’re definitely coming back!
