Saigon Delights Gardiners Road

The service is terribly slow. The waiter is hardworking but the only one covering the entire restaurant. The pricing is very expensive for Vietnamese food. The meat wasn't fresh. It was obviously overcooked and microwaved from the day before. The noodles were low grade thick and floury pho noodles. The soup base was just chicken base powder mixed with boiling water. It was very bland. In summary, it was over-priced and the food was bland and low quality. DO NOT EAT HERE. IT IS A RIP OFF.

I had lunch here. Service was quick and red curry rice dish with veggies and tofu was acceptable but nothing special. Lots of tofu, tasty, but the veggies were very basic: celery, green pepper, a few cooking onions, plus pickled carrot. No imagination.

The food is always consistent and good here.....I always order a #6 and am never disappointed. The food is always hot and fresh! The restaurant is an old Italian restaurant turned into Vietnamese so it could use an update.

This is a place for Canadians who are not versed in authentic vietnamese soups. I would choose to go elsewhere even if I had a craving for vietnamese food.

Kingston is loaded with great Thai and Asian restaurants the majority of which are downtown, but if you're in the west end and in need of some good eats then Saigon Delights can fill the void.Their BBQ pork noodle bowls are my goto and never disappoint.
