Contribute FeedbackThis restaurant offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options with decent portions. Some reviewers enjoyed dishes like mango tofu, lemongrass fried rice, and vegetable tom-yum soup. However, others had negative experiences, citing issues with gluten-free options, cross-contamination concerns, and lack of non-spicy dishes. The menu is extensive with a fair price range and fast, friendly service. Overall, it seems to be a hit or miss depending on dietary restrictions and preferences. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city and serves as a favorite spot for locals.
Honestly this was some of the worst food I’ve had in Canada. Ordered Vietnamese spring rolls, they had to substitute the sauce as not GF (this was after a lot of debating as the staff were not sure if it actually was gluten free despite being marked). Then had panang which was terrible, no flavour, stringy chicken ready very quickly which makes me feel like it was just a microwave job. I didn’t get ill after but I would avoid either way!
I love this place!! I've ordered from them 3 times now because they're located (conveniently for me right down town. As someone with celiac who gets really sick with gluten, choosing gluten free menu items 3 times in a row here has been safe for me, though you should always call and double check. DO NOT order the "vegetable" option because this contains the tofu other people mentioned. The woman who runs it is very sweet though and I'm sure she would accomodate you if you wanted it without. I looove the panang curry and it's become my go-to when my husband really wants some sort of takeout I can't have. He doesn't know how much he's missing out :
I’ve eaten here several times and never had a reaction. I have severe celiac and react to pretty much any cross contamination but I’ve never had a problem at Mango. Food is good and staff friendly!
If you like spicy food then this is the place for you. Only ONE gf item ISN'T spicy. I don't eat anything spicy so I was disappointed. I found the one non spicy item to have a bit of a kick to it still but I made through and the dish was done well. Veg spring rolls aren't listed as gf but they are of you swap lemongrass sauce in place of the Hoisen sauce.
Their menu is huge and there is quite a bit of gluten-free. :D Super delicious, only thing I noticed was they didn't have any vegetarian gluten free options for those interested.
