I was driving Toronto to Ottawa and looking for a light lunch. I stumbled on this place -about 2km off Highway 401- by accident (I was looking for Subway). It's mainly a soup salad and sandwich place although there are also hot meals available. I hands basic cheese sandwich with salad and it was very good. Decent amount of seating although it's not huge. Definitely a good stop. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Homestyle Deli:
I really wanted to like this place. I have been at least 6 times. I usually always get a sandwich, but there is nothing special about them. All the toppings are things I could have at home. And they don't wear gloves.. Ever.. How is this okay in this day and age. I saw them go to the cash and back without washing their hands. They are closed until 11th july 2023..and not updated anywhere.. we drove there and got to know.. waste of time
Prices are low. My wife's breakfast sandwich was great, but my burnt omelet was almost un eatable. You can see why just from the picture. We were traveling so I just let it go. Won't be back thoughParking: Free Parking

I've been here about 4yrs ago and thought we'd go again. It's just an ok spot with decent prices. You order then pick out your drink from cooler. Your cutlery out of s bin. Many were not very clean and who knows who's been touching them all.But outside of that because I don't care that much but a heads up.The FOOD. Ordered 2 Chilli, he poured it into two bowls. Then put them in the microwave???? What! Wow glad I tipped. Go sit down and both are cold. Back I go for another nuke. Now they are hot. All the right Chilli ingredients BUT 1. The Chilli flavour. Omg meat beans and tomato no chili flavour. Well that's our last visit.
Great sandwiches and hot meals always. Staff is also very friendly and professional.
