It is located just off Hwy 2 between Kingston and Gananoque, they have a truck stationed further down the road as well. He had paid extra for two pieces and they didn't even add up to what you normally get for one piece other places.
I went for dinner without any expectations. I was delightfully surprised with one of the most exquisitely cooked meals that I have had for years. Don't be surprised by the understated looks from the road. This is NOT a roadside bistro serving standard deep fried or packaged/frozen fare. The cuisine here is entirely fresh and homemade, and can compete with the local best, indeed, might very well be t-h-e best to be found in the Kingston area. If you are tired of the common "looks great, tastes...well....not bad" kitchens (been to Chez Piggy lately?), and are looking for a meal that is cooked from scratch and done with the utmost attention to detail and taste, then definitely give this place a try. Attention and care is given to use fresh local ingredients, even the beer and wine offered is local. For starters I had a delightful fresh salad with what felt like a hundred nuances of flavor. Main course was the evening special - lightly grilled rainbow trout, crisp outside while maintaining all of the lightness inside. It was served with a fresh mix of peppers and potatoes. Salt, pepper and condiments on the table are not at all necessary, everything came from the kitchen in perfect balance. Although I almost never have dessert, after such a wonderful meal, I had to try one of their homemade pies - a key lime ordeal that was worthy of everything else that they served.I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for excellent cuisine in a very casual setting.
I've eaten at the Lotus three times this year and always found the food to be very good qualityThe ingredients used are fresh and the flavours complex.
Fish and chips die. Very good size components. Bake goods like your grandmother earlier. Love the menu, something for everyone.
