Was Cocoa Brown at Ubud a mag?
We went on a Friday night and although it looked a bit quiet on the outside but the experience definitely didnt let us down. Nice interior and amazing ambience that reminds of Bali; food was delicious: had the traditional crepe , the ubud half chicken and seafood noodle. Went here on the busiest of Saturday nightsExpecting service disastersNoTrue pros.
Ubud is great restaurant to visit for an authentic Balinese experienceI have fond memories of Bali and this place makes me want to go back in a hurry.
This place is Very opulent from beginning till the end .
In addition to the delicious food, the ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for both group gatherings and romantic dinners. The dimly lit setting with candles and ornate carved doors creates a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of Ubud. The prices are also very reasonable, with dishes like the coconut curry costing only $19, compared to similar dishes at other restaurants for $35. My favorite dishes include Ikan Bakar (grilled fish), Rendang (coconut beef), Chicken Sate, Kangkung (water spinach with spices), es Cendol (a dessert made with crushed ice and Pandan leaf), and black sticky rice with coconut cream.
On the other hand, the Bebek Ubud dish was a bit disappointing, receiving a 3 out of 5 rating. The crispy duck pancakes had too much dough and lacked a generous amount of duck, cucumber, and shallots. The Nasi Uduk dish also received a 4 out of 5 rating. The aromatic coconut rice was a standout, although the egg was on the salty side. The addition of prawn crackers provided a nice texture to this satisfying dish.
