First time trying Fish and Chips and I’m blown away. The chips are so nice and crispy. The star of the show for me was the curry,it had the right amount of sweetness and the right amount of masala. Its reminded me of Japanese curry hence it’s a 10/10 for me.The battered cod was so well cooked and it just melted in my mouth was just a bit greasy but expected since it’s deep fried.Additionally the restaurant had plenty of... What Cauli2 doesn't like about Fishers Of Hunstanton:
For a number of years, whenever visiting NW Norfolk, we have always gone to Fishers for fish and chips and never been disappointed. Yesterday, I had the worse fish I have ever tasted. Overcooked, dry, more batter than fish. Practically inedible and not cheap. Sadly we won't be going there again. Not sure what has happened to the place View all feedback.
Fantastic chip shop/restaurant. Visited as a family of 5 on a busy Thursday afternoon (during the May break) didn’t have to wait long to be seated or for food to arrive. I personally wouldn’t say the food was overpriced for the fantastic food we was served. Food was fresh and tasted fantastic, even highly recommended from 3 fussy children aged 7,9,11. A big shout out to Benny, who is an exceptional member of the team, fantastic service and personality. We will definitely be back, thank you! P.s, best curry sauce we’ve ever had!
Clean premises but quite expensive in comparison with other chippies in Norfolk
Had lunch here as a family of 5. Staff very welcoming and great service throughout. Food was excellent value for money and great quality. Would highly recommend a visit here if you’re in the area.
We walked in early afternoon and waited around 5 minutes to be seated, which was good considering how busy it was. As they were extremely busy it took along time for our order to be taken, which is understandable. Our order was taken, (we ordered 4 meals) as it was busy we expected it to take a while but certainly not 1 hour. We soon started to realise that our order may not have been processed as several tables that ordered after ours received their food first. We asked the waitress and she said she would check with the kitchen, and said the order has gone through. After waiting around another 20 minutes (at this point around 4 other tables that ordered after ours received their food) we queried to the waitress again who said she couldn 't speed up the kitchen. The manager came over and explained that we made the waitress cry. She also made the point that if we didn 't want to wait the door is over there . She was very confrontational and instead of aplogising she made an excuse that cod takes longer to cook due to the takeaway orders, which was total nonsense when other customers (that ordered after ours) received food that more than likely was cod even so, our food shouldn 't have taken that much longer. She accuses us of being rude, and did not once apologise about the hour wait for our food. Another table that witnessed the incident explained to the manager that we weren 't rude, and were simply asking where our food was. She also was arguing with them, making the point that a 15 year old is crying . I 100% understand management sticking up for their staff, but point blank accusing customers of something without knowong both sides of the story is unacceptable. All the manager had to do is apologise and try and get the food out as quick as possible. Despite the incident, when the food did arrive it was very tasty and worth the wait, it was just unfortunate the manager had to act in this manner.
Manager Benny so welcoming, food was very fresh, best curry sauce I’ve had. Facilities were very clean
