Tonight, Tuesday, we visited the restaurant with two friends, menu had changed to when we had booked. Beef ran out, not a whole piece of salmon, cut in half. My friend said on other occasions this had not happened. Had to choose things we were not really happy with. Salmon had no potato or veg, a let down, have better at home! We had lunch today at the Novus Restaurant in the Kings Lynn College. The food was excellent and the price and service outstanding. The food is prepared and served by trainee chefs but don't let that put you off , they turnout some fabulous dishes at a very reasonable price.

The bread was cooked to perfection . My starter was up there for one of the best I’ve ever had. Bubble and squeak with a slice of crispy bacon with a perfect poached egg on top. Blade of beef so tender for mains. Lovely crème brûlée for afters. Friend had bavoir she said it was beautiful). OH had the doughnuts , scraped the plate and said he wanted more!
Pre pandemic we used to go to the college quite frequently but we made our first visit for some time to have lunch with some friends today. The value is excellent three courses for £11 and the quality of the food is excellent. I started with mushroom and Parmesan beignets, which were fine but couldn’t really taste the Parmesan. Next I had pork and apple casserole which came with root vegetables very generous and tasty. Then I had winter fruits and white chocolate roulade, which was enjoyable. Everyone else reported that their meals were good. The young woman serving us was very pleasant although nearly had several mishaps in dropping/nearly dropping cutlery and/or crockery!
Absolutely outstanding food. Nice ambience.Students do an really good job. Parking free.Prices not seen since the last century. What is not to like. Really enjoyable meal.
We went today to Novus to enjoy their Pancake Day menu. The food was delicious and a credit to the students. Excellent value for money.
