What terrygparrott likes about Crown Anchor:
During our stay at the River Bank Guest House on the opposite side of the Great Ouse river, we visited the nearby pub for a meal and drinks. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of parking available. Guests have the option to sit outside by the river, and the establishment is very welcoming to dogs. View all feedback. What Sidney C doesn't like about Crown Anchor:
What a disappointment. The website claimed they were open at noon, but when I arrived on Thursday and Friday, the restaurant was closed. They should update their website to inform customers of their actual hours of operation. View all feedback.

read moreNestled near the Great Ouse river, the Crown and Anchor presents an interesting dining experience marked by recent changes in ownership. While some diners celebrate the new management's improvements—highlighting a welcoming atmosphere, good carvery, and homemade desserts—others report disappointments with food quality and inconsistent service. Issues such as undercooked items, a lack of menu details, and problems with operating hours have also surfaced. Though the venue is dog-friendly and offers outdoor seating, guests suggest improvements are still needed for a consistently enjoyable meal. Overall, the Crown and Anchor is evolving amidst mixed feedback.
