Nice selection of wine and seasonal cocktails. Bougie atmosphere to escape the charm of the local dives.
We were disappointed to find out that The Cellar is only open on weekends, so we decided to dine at The Lane instead, which is also located in the Ross Hotel. Ultimately, the experience was quite enjoyable.
We dined at The Cellar twice during our trip and had an excellent gluten-free and dairy-free experience. Bart, who I believe is the manager, took exceptional care of us on both evenings. We began with tasty gluten-free and dairy-free bread, followed by beautifully presented John Dory fish, accompanied by potatoes, vegetables, and chips cooked in a dedicated fryer. The ambiance was lovely, enhanced by a live piano player. We thoroughly enjoyed both meals and highly recommend this restaurant. The team, especially Bart and Connor, were outstanding and the food was delicious.
The Cellar offers outstanding service, featuring attentive and friendly staff. The ambiance is equally charming.
I have been coming to the Ross Hotel for literally years. My first visit was in 2008. They have consistently been one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and in my experience, that really is quite a feat over 14 years! My most recent stays in February and October were particularly special, and the level of attention to detail and genuine care showed by both the staff and the management is just remarkable, and that's not even mentioning the quality of the rooms or the central location. Keep up the good work and we look forward to coming back again soon.
