Top class eating, friendly staff, brilliant service and delicious home brew. family run to a very high standard with beautiful decor and ambiente.

Have been here a few times for evening dinner. Excellent menu, service and food quality. Nice selection of craft beers too

We delighted to get a booking here last night. Warm and friendly welcome at the front door. Waiting staff were prompt and attentive with drinks and menus arriving very quickly. They brew their own beer and the waiter was keen to discuss the merits of each. Beer: Sampled the Helles larger light and refreshing and very drinkablePale Ale very hoppy: I liked it. Might be for everyone but so refreshing to see bold flavours like thisBlond. Really well made and I could have drank a lot more of this.Food: Starters: Cod cheek fritters (excellent)Lamb Kofta with flatbread (excellent) and the accompanying sauce was excellentMains: Braised beef blade (very very tender and super tasty)Butter roast chicken (very succulent and beautifully presented supreme of chicken).Dessert : Was not temptedWine: Limited list but doesn't lose anything for that. A glass of NZ Sauv Blanc was excellent.Two courses for two with beer and wine excellent gastropub. All COVID guidance complied with. Would heartily recommend.
