We had a really good dining experience mid week in TASTE. I'll give a run through what I had...pate to start was very tasty would have liked one more small piece if toast. Steak for mains was amazing, very tender and cooked to my liking strangely not served with any veg other than two types of potatoes (mash was one of the best I've ever had) and a tomato, was craving some greens with it. What GP F doesn't like about Taste:
I went to this restaurant for dinner after a surgery. I ordered room service and ended up getting terrible food poisoning from old rice that had obviously been reheated and should have been thrown out. It was a terrible experience. The service was so bad that it could have been featured on an episode of 'Kitchen Nightmares'. I wouldn't even expect this kind of service from a low-quality takeout place. View all feedback.

Slightly disappointed with the hazelnut creme brulee for desert, nice texture and well made but it just lacked flavour. Good choice on children's menu and portions were generous for them. Service was friendly and efficient. I'd have no hesitation recommending TASTE for s really good family meal. Compliments to the chef.

We arrived at 6:30 pm, right when the restaurant was opening for service (a bit later than usual?). The service was friendly, attentive, and excellent. We opted for the two-course meal priced at 25 Euros and enjoyed the baked cod on a bed of spinach with mussels and vegetables, as well as the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. If you are staying at the hotel, dining here is definitely worth it.
My daughter and I visited this restaurant and enjoyed a delectable mushroom soup as a starter. We both savored a delicious steak served with pepper sauce, onions, and mashed potatoes for our main course.
We were a group of six for dinner 6:30 prior to attending an event in the Hotel. On the plus side the decor of the restaurant was lovely and the menu seemed good value with no supplement for steak etc. Whilst the staff were very friendly they did not seem up to the task, it was like the transition years had taken over service for the night! An ice cooler for our white wine could not be obtained, in a hotel??? so the wine was stored off the table in a fridge?? The starters were generous but the hummus was tasteless as was the Cod main course. The waitress struggled to tell us the evenings specials and we were offered the dessert menu after our starter. It was one of the guests birthday so we asked the waitress to put a candle (we had brought with us) in his dessert. This she duly did, she just never lit it! The coffee's were so slow to arrive we had to cancel the order. For a sturday night the restuarant was pretty empty and I can see why. A surprisingly poor standard for a fine hotel.
