Rating: 4 out of 5. Ambiance was central, service accommodating. Fantastic dinner with large portions at good value. Afternoon Tea Platter, mini burgers, sausages, ham hock, Trout Crocettes, salad, and amazing chips were highlights. Lemon meringues and strawberries were delightful. Great kids menu. Friendly, attentive staff. Definitely recommended for a return visit. Delicious steak, duck, and desserts. Restaurant offers a varied menu and great service. Staff can be a bit slow at times. Fantastic ribs, burger, prawns, and chips. Decent draft beer selection. Lovely decor in the quirky venue. Delicious cocktails, but food below average. Chicken burger undercooked, bacon extremely fatty. Turkey and ham lukewarm, no vegetables, drinks overpriced. Pleasant staff at family gathering, generous finger food. Overall, a good spot for drinks, not food.

My family and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The menu looked great and my wife and I chose to share the Afternoon Tea Platter while the kids had burgers. We were amazed by what arrived! The Platter was simply incredible. The mini burgers were delicious and the sausages with honey and mustard dressing were a pleasant surprise. The ham hock with sauce was a new dish for me and I was not disappointed. The Trout Crocettes were a highlight for me, reminding me of my time in Barcelona. Everything was served with a lovely salad and the best chips I've had in a long time. To top it off, there were lemon meringues and fresh strawberries with cream, which were delightful. The kids said it was possibly the best burger they've ever had. Our server, David, was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back very soon. Overall, a wonderful experience.
My girlfriend, cousin, and I had drinks at this restaurant when we visited Kilkenny city a few weekends ago. We found the location to be very central, and the staff was extremely accommodating. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Maria, who was a lovely lady and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you for your hospitality - we will definitely be returning.

Rating: 3 out of 5. The service was excellent, but a bit on the slow side. The waiter was very friendly, though. Unfortunately, the food was subpar. I ordered the chicken burger and it seemed undercooked, so I ended up leaving it uneaten. It was a waste of €16.50, to be honest. However, their cocktails were fantastic. I would suggest this place for drinks, but not for food. The burger was overly greasy and the bacon in it was extremely fatty, making it difficult to eat.
Walked in to be greeted by two members of staff who looked at us if we were Aliens. I ordered turkey and ham and it was Luke warm. No veg with it. And clearly a microwave reheat. My girlfriend had pasta which was lovely she said. no effort by staff to even ask if meal was ok. Just took payment and not even a thank you. Won’t be returning
Had a delicious dinner here. The staff were friendly and there was good service. Food came quickly. The duck was delicious and the mashed potato was the best I have ever had. Unfortunately the chef wouldn't give the recipe, which was very understandable. It was absolutely perfect. The desserts were fantastic. Dead by chocolate was moist and the crumble was very tasty. Would recommend people to try the restaurant. Very reasonably priced also.
Lovely quirky decor. Excellent food and a very entertaining and informative host. Plus beautiful creamy Guiness on tap. Well worth a visit.
Had a delicious meal in a fabulous bar/restaurant in the heart of Kilkenny. Main courses were about €14 but the portion sizes were very large. Food was tasty and well presented with plenty of it. We were there with kids and the kids were able to have pizza. Very good value for money. Staff offered excellent table service. Will definitely make a return visit.
