Fish Face Diner Kilkenny

We only had the chance to visit this restaurant twice during our short trip to Ireland, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The atmosphere was fantastic and our server, Owen, went above and beyond by giving us recommendations on places to see and providing us with a map. The service was excellent, even though the restaurant was busy during lunchtime. I tried the pan-fried hake special with new potatoes, green beans, and the most delicious Coleslaw. They also had Merlot and Pinot grigio on tap, along with a great selection of coffee and handmade shakes. The Irish beef burger with a special sauce was out of this world, especially when paired with garlic sauce for the chips. The fish and chips lunch special was one of the best I've ever had, and it even came with ice cream at a very reasonable price.

FishFace is a highly recommended restaurant with fantastic food and great value for money. The front of house staff are really professional and helpful. I enjoyed everything on the menu, from the fish dishes to the burgers. I have uploaded pictures of the menu as well.

The food and service at this restaurant are amazing. The decor is fantastic. Located on the former site of an old McDonald's, there is plenty of parking in the back.

Wonderful. I visited my wife and daughter. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious. I don't like much curry, but that was wonderful. My daughter wanted a mint shake and it was huge. Great food quality and people are very friendly.

Fish was excellent. The menu had a variety of options from fish and chips, burgers, pasta with seafood, salads, surf and turf, milkshakes, and much much more. The restaurant was super clean and a warm, friendly environment. The fish is very fresh and they make the best efforts to source locally (several people waiter, taxi driver, coworkers have corroborated this for me). The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Top notch service. Waiter fetched a newspaper for a neighboring table upon request, tipped off another table where they could grab a cold beer and bring in for their meal, and grabbed a map of the city for me and drew out recommendations for things to see, places to visit. Another table in at the same time as I was eating there for a second night in a row they enjoyed it so much. There is also have a takeaway door with a huge menu selection that I have found enjoyable. Being new to the city I force myself to try other places, but this has been my favorite thus far and I can’t resist going back!
