Feedback
The food was great. I had the poke Tacos and the fish and chips. But the strawberry cream pie and the coconut cream pie were extremely good.
We were excited to check out this location after hearing about it from friends, and it did not disappoint. A few reviews said the food they ordered had no taste but that was not the case for our three meals. Most reviews said the service is too notch and they was spot on. Our server was very friendly, helpful with ideas of things to do on the island and even suggested a “secret item” off the drink menu for my daughter (coconut lemonade it was delightful). We started with the lobster deviled
Came to Monkeypod for Lunch. Had made a reservation with opentable. Probably didn't need the reservation, but it was good to be certain. Arrived and we were greeted at the bottom of the stairs by a gal that saw we had a reservation and told us to contact the counter at the top. So we checked in at the counter in the restaurant. They seemed a bit disorganized, but nice enough. Got to our table and our server Maria was with us immediately. She is very kind and very patient with our numerous
Preston, our server was incredible. You should ask for him! We definitely enjoyed our time here. He was very attentive with us and gave us good recommendations. We personally loved the desserts and the Mai Tai. As for the main plates: we had the gnocchi and the macadamia fish. I felt they were somehow unflavored and a bit grassy. I would love to try other things. Would definitely come back to this place!
Yum! The shrimp and mushroom potstickers had me wanting to lick my plate. So good. The Bulgogi tacos had a lot of different flavors and was delightful. I wish they were slightly bigger or came with a side. Fun restaurant. Quick wait. Great service from Sherry. This is our second visit this year and I would come again next time I’m visiting Maui. Plan ahead bc I think it stays busy. Also happy hour is 3-5:30 and appetizers and drinks are half off.
