El Sombrero Kiel

We were very pleased to find a vegetarian and vegan menu at this restaurant. However… having both ordered vegan mains, but our vegan nachos were served with cheese on them. Not good. My partner ordered a taco plate, which had rather odd fillings which varied...from the pretty tasteless to tasteless but extremely hot. I had fajitas – now please correct me if I’m wrong, but fajitas usually have some seasoning on them don’t they? Not these. What I got was a dish of tasteless fried vegetables, adorned with half a dozen shop-bought nachos, with a tiny side of mild salsa providing the only bit of flavour. The tortillas were hung off the handle of the dish and were obviously stone cold within a few minutes. Both dishes had been listed on the menu as “with a dip of your choice” however both came with the salsa, no other option offered. The place was empty (which with hindsight should have given us a clue) and had no atmosphere. The staff ignored us in favour or chatting to locals who seemed to be only in there to drink. Don’t waste your money here.

We stopped at this bar/restaurant as it was conveniently attached to the main train station. As such it was convenient and the drinks menu looked good. The reason for the rating however relates to the service. At the time of our arrival there were no...other guest there but the two members of staff simply seemed preoccupied and it feel like they had not seen us. Eventually they came across and served but without any apology for the delay. Shame otherwise rating would have been better.

Ich habe zum Geburtstag einen Essensgutschein für dieses Reszaurant geschenkt bekommen. Ich habe es vorher nicht wirklich gekannt. Fazit: Toller Abend mit sehr gut Cocktails zu fairen Preisen. tolle leckere mexikanische Küche. Ich habe Enchiladas Spinach gegessen. sehr sehr lecker. Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam.Definitv ein Muss!;)

Wir waren im Kino , und vorher wollten wir mal das Restaurant ausprobieren und wir müssen wirklich sagen , das wir sehr positiv überrascht worden sind. Nette Begrüßung, tolles und leckeres mexikanisches Essen. Wir hatten einen Burrito und eine Quesadillia gegessen. wirklich sehr lecker. Preis völlig in Ordnung. Danach hatten wir einen Cocktail, den Strandgeflüster und einen Summer Lover getrunken. Super lecker und meines Erachtens zu günstig:)Wir werden auf definitiv wieder kommen!
