A delightful culinary experience, located idyllic by the sea (Cornish), with magnificent panoramic views around the restaurant and some (limited) outdoor seatin... read more A delightful culinary experience, located idyllic by the sea (Cornish), with magnificent panoramic views around the restaurant and some (limited) outdoor seating, making it a quiet, pleasant place to dine. There is a selection of a number of dishes on the menu; plus a fresh fish counter that has a good choice of seafood; where the customer can then select exactly how each dish is prepared. Our experience was that every single dish, including sauces and cooking methods, results in delicious cuisine! Sampath and the managers are always helpful, attentive and friendly, like Saman and the other staff. Over a number of visits we have tried many of the dishes, and above all enjoy the grilled whole hamour in lemon and garlic sauce that leave the fish moist and full of taste; the salmon in Samboks delicious Chinese style sauce is always exquisite; the crab Thermidor has a beautiful taste; as well as the Biryani; and the rice accompaniment the main dishes. So with this level of service and high-quality ingredients cooking, comes the somewhat higher price of such fine restaurants; but it is worth for special occasions, or just for a treat! Ideally, more outdoor seating would be created for the customers of this demanding restaurant to fully exploit the magnificent location of the restaurant; although the interior seats are nice enough. We discovered Sanbok many years ago, and it is still a favorite of our family, where we have always experienced friendly, good service, while enjoy mouth-water, deliciously prepared dishes!

I have said many times that I have traveled extensively in my life, but Sanbok is in the top 3 best restaurants I've... read more It has been 7 years since we ate at Sanbok. I have said many times that I have traveled extensively in my life, but Sanbok is in the top 3 best restaurants I've had the pleasure to eat at, ever. We happened to be in Al Khobar for our 13th wedding anniversary, so we of course went to Sambok. The way we were greeted, the personal care, and of course the food is why we will always return when we can. A special thanks to our server Mr. Samon who brought a smile and a cheerful mood to the table. Another special thanks to the Managers, Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Weam for making our anniversary special, and even including some anniversary cake. I would also like to thank the chefs and kitchen staff for making such an exquisite meal for us. Sanbook still holds one of the top 3 spots in my opinion. I hope you all continued sucess.
