We had dinner at Umami. Nice stylish interior. To start we took spicy shell crab and tuna tartar with carrots . Crab was delicious. As a main course we had sushi set and avocado shrimp roll with Philadelphia cheese. Both were excellent. Fresh and very tasty. Service was also good. Will return. View all feedback.
What Mikal V doesn't like about Umami:
First of all I love sushi! To find a sushi place just outside our rented apartment was just fantastic. Umami is a nice looking restaurant with very attractive decor. The staff was very helpful and polite. Unfortunately the sushi was mediocre at best. The rice was too compact and had a funny taste, while the fish was just a bit tasteless and boring. We were surprised to find the place empty on Friday Eve, but came quite early so it was understandable in a way. We got ship soup I u fortunately don't remember it's name and it was super good! Clear broth with shrimps and veggie, simple but delicious. We then had some sushi and found them special too! If you are into Asian fusion, I wld recommend it: but book in advance if you go late on Friday as the restaurant pretty quickly was packed:
Quality sushi here if thats what your looking for. Not too much rice, quality ingredients and attentive staff. Quiet atmosphere.
Maki were sadly swirled by drivers

The sushi has been grated with fat as if it had been prepared on the same worktop as roasted noodles, very pity!
