What Megan doesn't like about Julia's Midtown Cafe:
This place used to have the best calzones..My husband and I ordered one tonight for dinner and omg it was horrible the dough was old and sour and marinara was fermented, seriously smelled like a beer , we couldn't eat it and normally not one to call and complain but we did tonight and had to throw it away..the only upside was the owner gave us a $16 credit for the meal, which we appreciate...idk if we will order agai... Only had an ice cream. But it was good. Only noticed hard ice cream don't know if they have soft service ice cream or not. Friendly service.
Stopped in there and they had no AC. Ice cream all looked half melted. Ordered 2 banana splits. Ice cream tasted freezer burnt, bananas where not fresh and everything thing was melting before we could get seated. Do not recommend wasting your moneys with this place. Only gave 1 star to write this review.

Food was decent. Not great but better then expected. Owner was very friendly. I'm sure we will order from here again.
It has been a good while since my family and I ate here, but what I could remember from doing so in the past is they had some of the best calzones you would ever sink your teeth into!! Unfortunately that wasn't the case tonight, I ordered the large calzone with about 5 toppings and OMG they have went so down hill I'm lost for words! The Marinara sauce was fermented and spoiled smelled like alcohol, it looked under cooked with old dough and literally none of the extra toppings I paid for. I'm usually not one to complain but for someone who is also in the pizza industry I was disappointed. Now the man was reasonable and respectful about the complaints and gave me a credit that I'll probably never use. Jus upsetting cuz this use to be the go to place for my calzones. Again it has been some time till tonight that I've eaten there.
