Key West Taco Dog Food Stand

Parked in front of a strip club. It 's the only food option aside from Wendy 's at 2 am.Talked to owner Josh about being from Annapolis, a few hours later when my brother was drunk (on duval at 2am, sorry not sorry) he called Josh Dr. Sausage while waiting for our food, in a joking manor (it was supposed to be a compliment).Apparently was taken completely the wrong way, because Josh- the owner, then wanted to physically fight him. Called the bouncers over from Rick 's and alleged we would never be allowed back in. Bouncer seemed confused.He actually refused to sell me two $15 hotdogs, which is pretty impressive. So bravo if you can turn away that kind of business.Not sure if Josh was on drugs, but he has terrible customer service.Otherwise, it 's like any other mediocre street-cart. A residential-grade grill, meat left warming. Wouldn 't eat here unless I was drunk, but if you 're going to order drunk, certainly don 't comment on him being a Doctor of Sausage.I 'd take my business anywhere else.Wheelchair accessibility: He 's on the sidewalk in front of Red Garter Strip Club

The Key Wester Sandwich is the BEST HOTDOG I've ever had. Honestly I'll be thinking about this hotdog for as long as it takes me to get back to Key West.Food: 5/5

It's been years since we've returned to KW due to the circus called covid.This food cart (hotdog cart) is usually just outside of Ricks Bar (across from Irish Kevin Sloppy Joes). He's arrives later in the evening and stays there late 2-3:00am, I know from experience.He has hotdogs and other items but what you really want is the Italian sausage sandwich called the Key Wester.As of today it's $10 loaded with toppings, onions, cilantro, peppers, etc, etc, that have such flavors you'll thank me.In the Rick Bar complex you'll have options of pizza and other fried foods, but nothing will compare to this Italian sausage sandwich that is grilled right in front of you and believe me it's fantastic, especially after a few rounds and a late night of dancing and fun.
