What User doesn't like about Hyatt Centric Key West Resort:
I chose this hotel thinking of celebrating my husband's birthday because he wanted the beach. Still, this hotel does not offer this, besides the pool was always filthy, we even found remains of food in it, which was reported to the staff and the next day we found it again. If you go to the pool after 3 in the afternoon, bring your towel because the hotel no longer has stock, and nobody solves you—deficient quality fo... View all feedback.

First of all. I appreciate the very good attention and service of the hotel staff (receptionist, housekeeping, restaurant and pool). Our room for 4 nights was spacious, furniture in excellent condition and good air conditioning. So far, all very well. The rate of 3/5 is due to an elevator out of order when arriving at the hotel (car 2), the high food prices (two orders of 3 chicken nuggets with fries and two lemonades $42, two orders of beef empanadas with 2 beers $44), construction work near the cafeteria and pool, several chickens as daily guests at the hotel (I could see chickens foraging for food on the swimming pool tables where some guests had their food). I can understand that chickens are typical in Key West, but I also understand that they must be controlled at the 4-star hotel, not all of us have to share our food and space with chickens. Finally, in the departure invoice, in addition to a resort fee tax of $56.25 per day, an overnight-self parking tax of $37.63 per day was included, which was never said.Rooms: Large, furniture in excellent condition and good air conditioning.Food drinks: Expensive
4.5 stars, if that is possible…Positives: Excellent location… you are tucked away in a cozy corner with acess to a small beach, and the pool… all with an incredible view. We had the partial king view and it was spectacular. The hotel is located only a block or two from Duval street… literally a 2-3 minute walk.. maybe less. In the opposite direction of duval street, they have a pier/boardwalk with a slough of different restaurants to try.The room was clean, cool, smelled good and everything seemed up-to-date… including the shower. The food is also great! The front desk staff were excellent, kind, courteous and helpful.Negative: There was only one negative… the bar tender in the day time was rude/abraisive but we did not let that kill the mood of our vacation or our experience as a whole. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, i suppose.
Excellent experience ! Nice restaurants serving the resort . Aquatic sports available with plenty of options. Definitely recommend . Spent 2 nights only but I wish I had more timeRooms: 5/5
The most terrible experience I've ever had. If you want to lose your money, then come here. Don't be surprised if you will be charged 3 or 4 times for the same services. The hotel is nice and the location is good, but at the same time the most terrible management that does not know how to manage the payment system. We stayed for one night on arrival we paid $915, although the price was supposed to be $569, but it didn't end there, in the morning when we was leaving, we were billed $942 again, when I said I paid 915$ and I could pay the difference and leave, the manager started arguing with me and I was convinced that this amount would decrease and I still need to pay $201( which I payed) As a result, we left and by the end of the day I received a notification, that in addition to $915, I was charged $201, $741 and $85. When I called the hotel, I was told that they saw the problem, but they wouldn't do anything. Now I have to resolve this problem with my bank help. Be very careful before booking this hotel.
