Great spot next to Sundowner's. The food was great. The waiters were super friendly and knowledgeable. We had tacos and enchiladas. Yummy. The only thing not to our liking was that the margaritas had something spicy in them. The key lime pie was excellent! View all feedback.
What M Carr doesn't like about Salty's And Grill:
This establishment use to be Senior Frijoles, it's recently changed hands and is now Salty's. The food was ok. Improvements needed in presentation of grill/fried foods. View all feedback.
Sundowner was to crowded, settled with this, super happy about it. Interesting salsas, great tacos and huge guacamole side, good service, drinks where fine.
Server was very nice. Music too loud, couldn't have a conversation. Salsa was the worst we have ever had. Food had no flavor.
The street corn is an absolute must! The flavor is unforgettable. Marlis is the best bartender and provided us with amazing customer service! We stop here every time we are in the keys! We will be back again!
HIGHLY recommend the Chipotle Chicken Plate wow!! It was so delicious and a huge serving. If you go for lunch, this could definitely be split between 2 people with chips/salsa. Food was flavorful and certainly worth going for. I would have rated it a 5 star, but the bartender (also our waiter) had quite the mouth on him. He was very loud, and his language was wildly inappropriate the whole time. We were there at 3pm on a Thursday, not 10pm on a Saturday. Nice enough guy, but not at all a family friendly environment because of it.
This restaurant is very rundown, dirty and they also overcharge. We ordered the brisket nachos which were OK, deep fried avocados appetizer and guacamole (watery). We ordered three cocktails which were all OK. Definitely nothing exceptional and would not return.
