fantastic pub if they love real ales, beer and cider, then there is always a good choice. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what they also sell. there are live music and a great jukebox with a lot of genres to try it out. in winter a log burner was set up so nice and warm. it is worth immersing yourself and trying the drink and beer garden. What NeilMann doesn't like about Shire Horse:
Stopped in today for a late Sunday Lunch our first time to try the Sunday roast as we had heard it was good. As the pub us doggy friendly and we were out walking the hound it was an ideal stop over for a late 2.30 lunch on a very cold day they serve from midday to 6pm I believe. Live music, Great Local Ales, Relaxed and full of Nice People. They even kept my jacket for me, when I left it.....for a week! After doeing gig nights in Manchester, the Shire was up close and personal.....Spot On the Shire!
Traditional English pub! Went early afternoon as I was waiting for a bus! I really liked the service and the people! Very positive vibe!
One of the last real points in Kettering, always a pleasure!
Traditional town centre boozer, live music , friendly folks.
Nice place, friendly staff. It's a shame it doesn't get more passing trade.
