Siskins Cafe - Keswick

I enjoy having lunch at this restaurant a few times whenever I am in the area. They always offer at least one vegan option, such as the Hummus and Roasted Peppers panini or a baked potato topping. If you are vegan, make sure to mention it when ordering as a few of the side salads contain dairy. The portions are generous and they always have vegan tray bakes, like date slices, clearly labeled with a 'v'. Unfortunately, there is no free parking in the Lake District, but there are plenty of walks, bike trails, and play areas to enjoy for a couple of hours.

We had a lovely time walking in Whinlatter Forest and stopping at Siskins Cafe. It was enjoyable to sit on the terrace and watch the birds come to feed. The coffee was delicious and you can't go wrong with a classic date slice.
