Patriot Pretzel - Kernersville

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My family had recommended this tent restaurant for us to visit while we were in town for the 4th of July. This trip was especially important for us as my daughter has cancer and we have not been able to travel or go out much due to her health concerns. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately singled out and criticized for not wearing face masks. The man behind the counter mocked my 3-year-old daughter, who has neuroblastoma, and insinuated that he couldn't understand her because she was wearing a mask. He made her repeat herself multiple times before finally allowing her to order, all the while making her feel embarrassed and out of place. It was heartbreaking to see my daughter, who has been through so much in her young life, treated in such a disrespectful manner. When I tried to pay for our order, I was told they didn't want my money because of the mask issue. It was bewildering and hurtful to be treated this way simply because my child with cancer needed to wear a mask for her own safety. I cannot understand why they would prioritize their political beliefs over the well-being of a child. It was a terrible and disheartening experience for both my daughter and myself. Mocking a child, especially one going through chemotherapy, is inexcusable. I will be sharing my experience on social media to let others know about the lack of compassion and understanding at this establishment. I also learned that they claim to be a Christian business, but their actions speak louder than their words. I hope they seek forgiveness for their lack of empathy towards those who are vulnerable and in need of understanding.

Great spot! I am a huge pretzel fan and this place did not disappoint. The environment was super unique, the staff was kind and inviting, and the pretzels were great! We came about 30 minutes before closing so the selection was limited, but what they did was a treat.We'll definitely be back.

Pretzels are hot and delicious. There is a punch card to earn a free pretzel which is nice. I've only had the sea salt but would like to try more. 4 stars because the inside could use some touch ups. But worth a visit for delicious pretzels that I've not found comparable anywhere in the triad!
