Don Juan's Mexican - Kernersville

My wife and I were visiting family in the area and they took us here. We both enjoyed the California Burrito she got the smaller one I got the larger one and I'm a bigger man and a large one worked out quite well for me. We got the combo one with steak shrimp and chicken. We also enjoyed a couple pictures of margaritas with our family. We all had a good time the wait staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly and it was quite delicious. My brother-in-law did share a dessert that they had which was some kind of cheesecake with some ice cream and that too was a very good. We did receive chips and salsa when we sat down and the salsa was good I kind of wished it was a little more spicy but it was perfect for my wife who does not like spice. I think it was good value for the money and again the service was good and quick and very attentive to what we wanted.

My review of Don Juan?s can be combined with one word. PERFECTION! Both sites have often visited and have never been disappointed. We drive an hour to eat frequently at the Kernersville site, which is how good it is!

Nice visit to Kernersville. A local favorite. Prices are slightly higher than expected. Eating was better than average, but I didn't see a real standout or a unique takeaway from this place. Good food, nice service, a little expensive.

I ate Mexican food all over the nation. What I have learned is that different regions of the USA have different expectations. In the middle states it seems like large portions, hard in sauce and cheese is preferred. Honestly, it's just gone from some of the amazing dishes that people could have. There are many places around the Triad that offer more authentic Mexican food. That means Don Juans counts on her courts to appeal to the local population. It works, it's just not for me. Every time I'm gone, I almost always had great service, mediocre food and really decent drinks. The atmosphere for this type of space is perfect.
