The quality of the meat is outstanding, and all the flavors come together beautifully. I can’t help but keep returning.

We had been in contact with the... read more My wife and I recently got married at The Overlook, and I wish I could say everything went perfectly, as it was promised to us. We had been in contact with the owners for over a year and found them to be kind and courteous throughout the planning process. We even met several times to go over the details of the wedding with their staff and members of our wedding party. On multiple occasions, we dined there with family, enjoying the stunning views and delicious food, and everything seemed to be falling into place. The owners kept in touch with us leading up to the big day. However, upon arrival with our vendors, we discovered that there had been a miscommunication regarding the chair rentals. Thankfully, this was quickly resolved, and the chairs were redirected inside the venue. Unfortunately, we soon found that the preparations for the outdoor ceremony hadn't been completed as promised. The flower beds and planters were completely empty, containing only dirt and remnants of dead plants. We had been assured that they would be filled with flowers for our wedding day. Only two of the beds had been mulched, and there were no flowers for the ceremony. As a result, we had to send the mother of the bride to Lowe's to purchase potted flowers and pot our own decorations just hours before the ceremony. Many important details that we had previously discussed with the staff were overlooked. Once we reminded them about these details, they were accommodated, but it still felt disorganized. On the evening of the rehearsal, we received new information that decorating for the wedding couldn't begin until after 9 PM, despite being told earlier that we could use the entire day for setup. With the limited time left on the morning of our wedding, it was a stressful situation.

As someone who works in the food industry, I can truly appreciate how fantastic everything was. Our server was exceptional, the drinks were delightful, and our meals were perfect. It was a lovely gesture for the owner/chef to stop by and check that everything was to our satisfaction. I don’t typically write reviews, but I was so impressed that I felt compelled to share my gratitude. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will definitely be coming back!
