Overall, I would consider returning. The roasted duck was decent, though the meat was a bit tough. The bony parts were great for making broth. The honey BBQ pork was also quite good, and I appreciated their willingness to accommodate my request for a leaner cut. I particularly enjoyed the 臘味 stir-fried cauliflower, but I noticed that about 10-15% of the cauliflower had a lot of black spots. I wonder if it's still safe to eat. As for their beef chow fun, it was a bit different from what I'm used to, as it had a significant amount of shredded cabbage in it. I suppose it's a healthier option, but the beef chow fun I'm familiar with typically consists of just beef, noodles, bean sprouts, and onions.
I truly enjoyed everything I was able to order, despite the restaurant operating on a limited menu. Unfortunately, the person ahead of me in line purchased all the barbecue items that were still available on the steam table. Luckily, the owner was kind enough to set aside a few slices of barbecue pork for me, and I patiently waited for the next batch of spare ribs to come out of the kitchen. I was really excited to try the roast pork, but I guess that will have to wait until my next visit...
Went again. This time I got 1 roasted duck, .8 lb of honey BBQ Pork and 1 lb of skin crispy roasted pork. Duck as usual not too strong on flavor which is great for those who prefer low sodium. Love their honey BBQ pork as always. Decided to get roasted pork. The butcher lady was very knowledgeable, she noticed it wasn't cook all the way on the part she first cut so she got me different part. So that's a plus on customer service part, however, it is quiet salty and it wasn't crispy enough. It is very hard to chew.
I am so happy that a Chinese BBQ place opened up near where I stay over here for work. They are excellent, and I can't get enough of that crispy pork skin. And the roast pork underneath was moist and delicious. I don't know how any carnivore would not love this. And beyond the BBQ, they did a great job on my Vegetable Mein Fun, which any vegetarian would enjoy. Now I no longer have to yearn for the International District for my Chinese BBQ fix.
