What GaryB Dalton likes about Shikara South Kensington:
I went in here for a takeaway to eat in my nearby hotel room. It was quiet but it was quite early on a Tuesday evening so no surprise. The menu had all the usual options and I have a prawn puri to start with a king prawn tandoori and a cheese nam bread. When I got back to the hotel there was also a free poppadom included. The food was really good, very tasty. The king prawns in the tandoori were very large and very w... View all feedback. What 186346Jane doesn't like about Shikara South Kensington:
We had two different currries firm this restaruant and they were disgusting. I have never had tough prawns before tonight! My husbands and my curries should have been done under the trades description act. They were not curries but two very bland meals. Avoid this place at all costs. View all feedback.

read moreShikara in South Kensington offers a mixed experience when it comes to Indian cuisine. The Veg Biryani is more of a pulao, disappointing some diners, while others found the food tasteless or even inedible. However, the ambience is pleasant, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant lacks a hygiene rating, which may be off-putting to some. On the bright side, prices are fair for the area, portions are generous, and some dishes like the chicken tikka masala are enjoyed by many. Overall, Shikara offers decent, traditional Indian food with room for improvement.
