London’s best-kept secret! The lunch experience was absolutely magical. The bookshop is super cosy and charming. The staff is welcoming, with a cheeky sense of humor. I went, with great eagerness, for my first post- Covid visit, with a long list of books I wanted to buy, and the anticipation of a nice meal in the cafe. I was disappointed on both counts: the shop is poorly stocked, and the one rather off-hand assistant had no knowledge of the books available, or where things might be located. Very crowded. Not much room to walk around. Didn’t find too much geared toward dietary restrictions. Mainly cooking from other countries.
Best lunch in town, Eric cooks incredible meals, in a cosy and family feel environment, surrounded by cook books that inspire your next dish at home.
Entered to have a look today since I was curious but the owner was not friendly at all and it immediately put me off coming back ever again...sadly.
