La Fogata Mexican Grill - Kenosha

Original Review: La Fogata is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Kenosha, and we’ve been loyal customers since they opened. I tend to stick with what I love and usually order the Shrimp Enchiladas with green sauce. My wife typically goes for the Chicken Enchiladas, but this time she opted for no sauce or cheese. We always make sure to get extra tomatillos; I could enjoy those all night long! The service is consistently friendly and quick, and the restaurant is always spotless. Plus, there’s extra parking available across the street. I highly recommend La Fogata Mexican Grill!

Fantastic food! Truly authentic Mexican cuisine up north. I tried the birria tacos, and they were amazing! The restaurant was quite busy, but they managed everything very well.

My wife and I have dined at countless Mexican restaurants across the country, and this one ranks in the top two. My chicken fajitas were incredible—sizzling just like they should be when served. Plus, they had Miller on bottle, which is always a nice touch! My wife ordered the shrimp quesadillas and a Mexican salad, and she claimed the quesadillas were the best she’s ever had. Her strawberry daiquiri was also one of the finest she’s ever tasted. The restrooms were spotless, which is crucial for any restaurant. In my experience, if the bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is likely to be as well. And let's not forget about the fried ice cream—it's to die for! I took lots of pictures, so feel free to check them out. I want to give a special shout-out to our server, Carol. She was fantastic, and we tipped her well over 25%. Honestly, I would come back just for the fried ice cream, or to enjoy some cocktails, or even just a few beers. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, and as great as that is, the food is even better!

The service was excellent and the food was good but the portions were terrible. You get a small scoop of beans and rice with your meal and the prices are expensive.. The salsa tastes like pasta sauce and the food doesn't taste authentic with the correct spices. The barbacoa was good though! I had a burrito
