The chip... read more This business has been around for a long time. A favourite of the downtown crowd during the week lots of locals visit it on weekends for a quick snack. The chips are old fashioned and can be had as a stand alone meal, in various sizes or eaten as a side with a number of other items, including smokies and fish to mention just two. Salt "n" vinegar half way up is the only way to have the salt work its way through and through on the largest size of chips, and ensures that the chips at the bottom are not drowned in vinegar when you get to them. Family owned and operated when it started by Barry Shepherd a long time Dryden entrepreneur the venture I snow owned and operated by his son. The taste and quality of the chips and everything else on the menu has remained the same over the years even though there have been additions to the list of what is available. The Chip Box is a great place to enjoy a snack or a filling meal, while sitting at their outdoor tables and watching the happenings of downtown Dryden.

Would have been a little better if it would have been served with cole slaw. Just my preference to help cut the grease of fried food. The fresh cut fries were really good. Friendly service.
